Tennis for Women and Girls from Refugee and Migrant Backgrounds

Cannon Hill Park for Community Tennis Session

At KRYLA, we believe integration starts with connection. This weekend, the tennis courts at Cannon Hill Park came alive as more than 35 women and girls from diverse refugee and migrant backgrounds joined us for an empowering, high-energy tennis lesson.

Sports, Smile, and Community

Led by a professional coach, this session was designed specifically for beginners trying tennis for the first time. Our coach supported everyone step-by-step, helping participants learn foundational skills and hit their very first successful volleys.

Beyond learning the sport, the event provided a vital, safe space for women from different countries to spend a weekend actively outdoors. It was a wonderful opportunity to relieve stress, improve health, and share positive energy. As participants cheered each other on, new friendships were formed, proving once again that sport is a universal language that brings communities together.
