On 30 August 2025, our team, with the support of the Henry Smith Foundation, organised one of the brightest summer adventures — a trip for Ukrainian children aged 7–13 to the All Things Wild Nature Centre.
It was a day filled with genuine smiles, excitement, and carefree laughter — the kind of joy that so many children who have experienced displacement and the stress of war truly need.
💛From the very first moments, the children dived into a world of discovery and fun:
feeding animals and observing them up close;
walking along the prehistoric dinosaur trail;
riding the real Dino Land Train;
exploring the play zones.
The biggest excitement of the day came from meeting the capybara — a favourite of both children and adults. Many saw one for the first time in their lives, and the happiness shining in their eyes was priceless.
The day ended with an unforgettable foam party, filling the air with laughter, joy, and the pure freedom of simply being a child.
This trip became a wonderful example of how our everyday work translates into real impact. We managed to organise a safe, well-structured journey for a large group of children — taking care of transport, meals, adult supervision, and a rich programme of activities.
As a result, the children gained positive emotions, reduced anxiety, strengthened friendships, felt community support, and spent the day in pure happiness and freedom.
Trips like this are more than just a day of fun. They support children’s emotional well-being, give them the chance to explore new things, feel safe, and experience joy among friends. For many families, such opportunities are out of reach, which makes this initiative a true gift — and a powerful emotional resource for the children.
We are waiting forward to arrange more trips like this in future!
