Storytelling and various uses in business.

What is a story? Telling a story is much more than just giving information. A story has a structure, and other features that make it interesting and memorable. And almost always, we tell a story for some purpose.

We use storytelling in business for many different purposes–for example, to propose a partnership with another business, to motivate our colleagues, or to sell our products. To tell a good story, especially in a different language, needs some clear thinking and a lot of practice. In this session, everyone will prepare a short story based on something they’ve experienced in their work, and we will practice telling them.
